The season has arrived! We've had some really nice weather lately so we are starting to see more bikes out there.
We attended the annual Dealer Expo the weekend of February 18th and gives us a chance to see all the new products for this year. In addition it gives us the chance to look at and feel exisiting products so we can learn more about them.
This is one of the ways that we try to stay current with what the industry has to offer. If you come in our store we may not have exactly what you are looking for but the odds are good we have seen it, touched it, played with, etc. and can speak intelligently about it!
In other news, we have teamed up again with our good friends Dan and Debbie at GSM Motorent for another one of our tech days, to be held Saturday April 16th at GSM headquarters in Townsend. This is a great opportunity to meet and hang out with other dual sport riders and learn some basic maintenance for your bikes, learn how to change tires by hand, or even replace the DooHickey on a KLR! You don't want to miss this opportunity to see one of the most colorful and entertaining motorcycle personalities on the circuit. Austin Vince will be coming to the US for a speaking tour you will not soon forget.
Dual Sport Touring will be hosting Austin Vince as he tells his tales from his shoestring motorcycle expeditions, Mondo Enduro and Terra Circa. These motorcycle adventures took him and his friends twice around the world and resulted in subsequent cult films and a TV series. He will be sharing his ethos of low budget fun and general adventure motorcycle madness in Knoxville, Tennessee on Sunday, April 10th 2011 at 6:30 pm.
Tickets are $10 each in advance, and $15 at the door. The event will be held at the Public House, located at 212 W Magnolia Ave. Knoxville, TN 37917 . The Public House offers a full bar and small plates of cured meats, cheeses, etc. Austin will be speaking at 6:30. He can be quite colorful in his presentations so this is certainly an adults only event.¬Ý
